The Sociology Data Lab (SDL) at Boğaziçi University invites scholars to participate as speakers in our upcoming conference, Crisis, Trust, and Change: Understanding Social Values in Uncertain Times. This event, organized as part of the Turkish Social Values Study 2024 (TSVS 2024), will provide a platform for in-depth discussions on the evolving social values and the broader socioeconomic transformations shaping contemporary society in Turkey and beyond.

We particularly encourage submissions that employ quantitative methods to examine themes such as:

- Family and Gender: Shifting gender roles, fertility intentions, and changing family structures.

-Trust in Institutions and Conspiracy Beliefs: Factors influencing belief in conspiracy theories and their societal implications.

-Migration and Social Attitudes: Public perceptions of immigration, integration policies, and attitudes toward diversity.

-Health and Science: Public trust in science, changing health behaviors, and the impact of misinformation.

-Environmental Concerns and Climate Attitudes: Perceptions of climate change, sustainability practices, and policy responses

-Techonology and Society

Abstract Submission Deadline (250-300 words): April 15th, 2025

Selected participants will be part of face-to-face sessions with 3-5 presentations, with each speaker allotted around 15 minutes for their presentation, followed by a Q&A. The abstract and presentation language is expected to be in English. This conference offers an opportunity to engage with researchers working on similar topics, exchange ideas, and contribute to an ongoing dialogue on value changes. *
