Call for papers - BSPS 2026 Demography of Sexuality

We are excited to announce that our P.I. Ceylan Engin and SDL team member Binnaz Poşul are organizing a session on the Demography of Sexuality at this year’s BSPS 2026 Conference!

We invite papers exploring how sexuality, across identity, attraction, behavior, and partnership contexts, shapes demographic outcomes, including fertility, mortality, and migration. We also encourage work on intersections with sex and gender, life course dynamics, health and inequality, as well as methodological research on measuring sexuality in surveys and administrative data.
